About Us

The Dance Collectif is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to making dance more accessible while promoting sustainability through thoughtfully curated, preloved dancewear.

We collect high-quality, well-maintained dancewear from dancers, families, studios, and the community, giving each piece a second life. Every donated item is carefully reviewed to ensure it meets our standards for quality, condition, and performance-readiness before being made available to dancers.

Dancers, families, and studios in need can browse our online catalog to request available dancewear. If we don't currently have what they're looking for, they can let us know their needs so we can match them with future donations as our collection continues to grow. When applicable, we ask recipients to cover a nominal shipping fee to help offset fulfillment costs. Shipping assistance or a fee waiver is available based on a dancer's or family's circumstances because we believe cost should never be a barrier to participating in dance.

We believe dancewear carries stories. Donors are encouraged to include a note with their items—whether it's a favorite performance memory, a word of encouragement, or a personal reflection. These messages are passed along to the next dancer, creating meaningful connections that extend far beyond the studio or stage.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, every donation of dancewear, financial contribution, and act of support helps us expand access to quality dancewear, reduce textile waste, and ensure that more dancers have the opportunity to pursue their passion. Our goal is to build a community where dancers uplift one another by sharing not just dancewear, but opportunity, encouragement, and the love of dance.
